In One Bite:
A mother and two daughters lovingly pour their hearts into this elegant day-to-night eatery. Serving modern and classic Middle Eastern dishes and speciality coffee, it’s a very popular brunch destination that excels in dinners as well.
Standout Features
The Premise: It’s a family affair but not just by name. The three leading ladies are fully involved: with their smiley, friendly presence they create a homely vibe, giving the place a personal touch. Their passion transpires through the dishes they offer and the pride they take in presenting them. Judging by their ambition and energy, the trio are likely to form a small culinary empire. Watch this space!
The Aesthetics: As soon as you approach the building and step inside, you will be struck by the stylishness of the decor. It’s a pleasure to walk in the light-flooded, plant filled spacious room after passing by the sleek counter of the coffee area and, beyond it, find a rich display of delicious baked treats and pantry goods for home purchase. The whole is animated by the buzzing activity of the staff, which hints at exciting things being prepared.
The Quality: Presenting traditional Middle Eastern classics in their best expression with small touches of innovation, you can expect satisfying flavour combinations that may well distract you from any conversation you may be having. From freshly baked breads and ma’amoul (Arabic date-filled sweets) to specialty coffee and a variety of cakes and other treats prepared onsite, quality runs across the board.
Star Dishes
(Subject to change)
- The Feta Brûlée is as original as it is delicious. Beneath the characteristic caramelised top layer to be cracked with a spoon is a delightful meeting of sweet dates and savoury feta with the addition of aromatic thyme. A memorable dish that is definitely worth coming back for.
- The Freekeh Risotto is another hit. Prepared in the same fashion as the classic Italian risotto but with the ancient middle eastern cereal freekeh as its protagonist, the creaminess of the parmesan cheese sauce is balanced by the earthy flavours of the mushrooms, making it a hearty dish.
- The Eggplant Bomb is a must try: incredibly smooth and bursting with flavour, the smoked aubergine is coupled with a layer of muhammara and topped with a mix of walnuts and cranberries that add a wonderful kick. It tastes even more exquisite when scooped up with the accompanying crispy sourdough ka’keh bread.

Final Morsel: should you visit?
If you’re in Dubai and looking for a great modern Middle Eastern brunch, lunch, dinner or even an afternoon treat, there is no reason not to visit (and re-visit) Three By Eva. Their efforts to bridge culture and innovation have won them the Origins & Future accolade at the Best Chef Awards 2024. Hospitable, chic and well presented down to the details, it is a real gem that ticks all the boxes. All you need is one visit to see that Eva Halasa and her daughters Emilie and Lilian have truly created something special.
